L'automne, toujours.

After a long summer, it is finally fall. Yes, we have seasons in California. And autumn is my favorite one. There is something about that subtle change in the air, the deep fall colors, and of course all of the holidays and homey feelings that come with the season.

For me, fall means I can start knitting scarves again. I'm in the process of one that is pretty complicated... the pattern is called an "Indian Cross Stitch." The pattern itself isn't too hard because it repeats, but the stitch involves a lot of yarn overs and slip stitches that make it difficult to move the piece around on the needles. The finish effect is quite elaborate though, and I think I will enjoy it.
